The concept of traditional weddings is dying out with the normalization and the influx of white weddings. Even while this is going on, there are still some couples who are facing demands to still follow some of their cultural practices in their weddings. Having come from different cultures, Kibet and Imelda, faced the challenge of having to convince their parents to allow them have their wedding in Nairobi as cultural demands dictated that the wedding takes place in Kibet’s father’s compound.
